Practicing Mental Math

Regardless of using mental math tricks as a party thing or trying to keep your brain sharp and healthy, it has always bothered me that there was a lack of websites dedicated to practicing mental math tricks. On this page, I present three small web applications to help you practice these mental tricks.

Calculating the Weekday on any date

The first application is for practicing the week of the day for any date in any century. e.g. what is the weekday of Sep 4, 1957? This application generates some random days based on one or more centuries selected and you can check your answer and keep track of your score.

Calculating Cubic root in your head

The second application helps you practice the mental cube root of a randomly generated cubic square of an integer number. You can choose between cubic roots of 1, 2, or 3-digit numbers.

Practicing Modulo Calculation

The third application is for practicing mental modulo calculation which is useful for checking the validity of the addition or multiplication of several numbers plus the Casting out 9 math trick.
